Rajasthan Safai Karmachari Recruitment 2026

The Rajasthan Government, Department of Local Self Government (Swayatt Shasan Vibhag), Jaipur has announced a large recruitment drive for Contractual Safai Karmachari posts in Rajasthan. This notification is a strong opportunity for candidates who have relevant sanitation or cleaning work experience in Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) of Rajasthan and are looking for a state government job with a straightforward application process.

Eligibility Criteria

As per the official notification, candidates must have 1 year of experience in sanitation or cleaning work in any Urban Local Body (ULB) of Rajasthan. No educational qualification has been prescribed for this recruitment. For the Scheduled Area vacancies, only local residents of Scheduled Areas of Rajasthan are eligible to apply.

The recruitment includes 24277 vacancies for the Non-Scheduled Area and 475 vacancies for the Scheduled Area. The age limit is 21 to 40 years as on 01/01/2027, along with the relaxation rules mentioned in the notification for reserved categories, women, widows/divorcees, ex-servicemen, and Divyangjan candidates.

How to Apply

Interested and eligible candidates should apply through the official department portal or the SSO Rajasthan portal. After login, open the Recruitment Portal under Citizen Apps (G2C) and click on Apply Now. If the One Time Registration (OTR) fee has not been paid, complete the OTR process first by selecting the correct category, disability status, and home state, then pay the required fee.

After OTR, fill the online application form carefully because key details entered during registration such as name, father’s name, date of birth, gender, and ID details cannot be changed later. Candidates must capture a live photo during the application process, enter the visible mark, and submit the form. Once submitted successfully, an Application ID will be generated. Applicants should also take a printout of the final submitted form for future reference.

Applications can also be submitted through designated e-Mitra Kiosks or Jan Suvidha Kendras. Candidates must apply for only one Urban Local Body (ULB) out of the advertised options, otherwise all applications may be cancelled.
